The Chapel of the Empty Tomb was added in 2001 as the first sign of the Resurrection of Christ. Inside the chapel that got a capacity of about 150 people is the reproduction of the Empty Tomb of Jerusalem and the reproduction of the Holy Shroud of Turin, to help people to become aware of the immense suffering that Jesus went through on his way to Calvary and on the Cross.
The chapel was consecrated by His Grace Arch. Ndingi assisted by Bishop Anthony Ireri Mukobo on 27th March 2002.
Outside the chapel are two significant episodes: an angel made of bronze sitting on top of the rock that closed the tomb of Jesus, and aside is the Calvary where Jesus was crucified together with two thieves.
